Pasta with bolognese sauce

This ones good because its so easy to make a big quantity. All you need is a jar of bolognese sauce and lean minced beef. There is a lot of room to try improve on this one but when it comes down to it I cant be bothered, as one that takes an hour to cook tastes the same as the one I make in 20 mins, in my opinion.

To start with, I brown the mince in a large pan on medium to high heat, stirring every so often. Once its all cooked through, add in the jar of sauce and stir through. Put some salt and pepper on top an let it simmer for along as you like. I usually wait until is bubbling for around 10 mins, and smelling the way I want it to.

For the sauce, I try and get one that has all the flavours I want, so that I don’t have to add anything extra. For example, I will get a sauce that already has onion in it, so that I don’t have to cut up, brown and add onion later. You can definitely use all fresh ingredients if you like, I just prefer the ease of a jar.

Have with pasta or rice with grated cheese on top, and you cant go wrong.
